Save Our English Grammar
[mood |hopefulhopeful]

This website is designed to combat every grammar crime in the world. As you can imagine, this is quite a large and rather ambitious project. We can never hope to tackle every grammatical error, and while we would all love the scenario where every English speaker minded his or her whoms and prepositions, it is clear that this stage is farther down the road. First, we need to define a grammatical felony.

According to Morals, Morse Code, and Morons by the internationally-respected author James E. Smith, a grammatical felony is, "a repeated mistake that the abuser will not correct, even if informed of the verbal or written malpractice." Several of these are:

U R (or any other version where the author intends to save his or her fingers by egregiously arbitrarily misspelling words)
You know

It is clear that until these threats are stopped, English will be but a shadow of what once was. Therefore, I urge all of you with any scruples to join and save what we have squandered. Speakers of the world, unite!

In all honesty, I am glad that some people in this world wish to return to their roots and speak in a manner in which all English speakers can understand them.

According to Morals, Morse Code, and Morons...

In the above quotation from the post, is this is a book or article? It it is, why is it not underlined or italicized to conform to conventional English standards?
